The 21790VIC Advanced Diploma of Justice is designed to enhance and extend the skills gained by students in the Certificate and Diploma courses.
The vocational employment outcomes for participants in the 21790VIC Advanced Diploma of Justice are the knowledge and skills to obtain employment at the senior management level of organisations in the justice environment.

To complete the 21790VIC Advanced Diploma of Justice you have one study option:
External: Study at your pace without attending workshops using our comprehensive online system and seven day a week support.
Study duration: College courses are very flexible and can be studied at each students pace depending on work, family and sporting commitments.
The average study time for this course is 52 weeks (approx 20 hours study per week) with a maximum completion time of two years for the busy student.

- FULL FEE:
$4995 - includes 21792VIC Certificate IV in Justice and 21791VIC Diploma of Justice
- DURATION:
52 weeks on average (may be studied faster or slower) - maximum two years
- PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Option 1: $645 to accompany enrolment then $400 each month, after course commencement, for 11 months. This payment plan option includes an additional administration fee of $50.
Option 2: $1000 to accompany enrolment then a 2nd payment of $3995 on the 10th on the next month after the course commences.
Due to AQTF requirements, the course fee can no longer be paid in full at the time of enrolment.
Note: Enrolments cannot be processed until the first payment is received. All course fees include a $200 non-refundable administration fee.

This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to examine and apply the investigative skills and procedures to conduct an investigation; gather, record and present evidence in a court of law, together with an understanding of the witness responsibilities and privacy and confidentiality issues.
3. VBQM389 Introduction to criminal justice system
The purpose of this unit is to enable students to develop a working knowledge of the criminal justice system.
4. VBQU369 Apply research techniques within a justice framework
This unit covers the knowledge and skills required to conduct social research in a community justice environment.

The purpose of this module is to enable students to develop an in-depth knowledge of aspects of criminal law relevant to a person working in the justice field.

The aim of this module is to introduce students to the study of crime, substantive areas of offending behaviour, and the implications of criminological knowledge for policy formulation and crime prevention strategy.
15. VBQU380 Apply psychological concepts and principles within a justice environment
This unit covers the knowledge and skills required to analyse the psychotherapies relevant to identify and address issues related to offenders and victims within the criminal justice system.
It also includes the skills and knowledge required to implement counselling strategies and processes evaluate psychological disorders prevalent amongst the offender population and rehabilitate and divert the client group from reoffending.
16. VBQU381 Work with culturally diverse clients in a justice environment
This unit provides the knowledge on the origins and nature of Australia’s multicultural society and the skills to work with culturally diverse clients, and develop attitudinal change and empathy with multiculturalism.

21. VBQU383 Plan and organise human resource in the justice environment
This unit deals with the skills and knowledge required to recruit and select staff within the framework of existing human or staffing resource plans or policies in the justice environment.
22. VBQU384 Implement human rights principles in a justice environment
This unit covers the specific knowledge and skills on human rights required for the prescription of legal advocacy and enforcement of human rights within justice framework.
23. VBQU385 Arrange legal representation for a criminal justice client
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to refer clients to private lawyers, legal aid, pro bono legal assistance schemes and community legal centres.
It includes an analysis of the role of Legal Aid, an explanation of the operation of specialist and generalist Community Legal Centres and an overview of pro bono assistance schemes. It also includes an analysis of lawyers’ ethics and the procedures for making a complaint against a lawyer.
24. BSBMGT609A Manage risk
This unit covers the development, implementation and evaluation of a risk management plan for the organisation. It incorporates an assessment of all potential risks facing the organisation and the development of strategies and plans to mitigate all risk situations through elimination, isolation or protection.
25. VBQU386 Provide support/supervision to young offenders within a youth justice framework
This unit covers the competency required to apply juvenile law, procedures and structures within a youth justice context.
