ARE YOU READY?
The College for Law and Justice Administration provides a structured justice program for people who wish to prepare well for the Northern Territory Police Force selection process.
Our program is designed to educate students on the Northern Territory Justice System and prepare them for the Northern Territory Police Force Assessment Centre testing day and interview for possible entry into the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services College as a Trainee Police Constable.
Justice Programs
Our Nationally Recognised (accredited) Justice Administration programs provide students with everything they require to successfully navigate through the Nothern Territory Police selection process and enter police training as a police recruit with an understanding of what will be expected of them in the police academy.
College justice students have the option to study externally or attend workshops in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast.
All other qualifications are studied externally using our comprehensive external online program.
Click on each link below for a full explanation of each course, including fees.

- 40602SA Certificate III in Police Studies
- 39292QLD Certificate IV in Justice Studies
- 39293QLD Diploma of Justice Studies
- 21790VIC Advanced Diploma of Justice
Our recommendation is to study the Justice Studies Short Program first and submit your Northern Territory Police Application.
You have the option to continue your studies and complete the Certificate IV and then the Diploma of Justice Studies if they wish. The Justice Studies Short Program is an exit point and is part of these qualifications.
It is our experience that police applicants perform at a higher level in the police selection process if they have an understanding of the role of the police officer in the community, the criminal justice system itself and expectations on them during the selection process and testing. This understanding is designed to build confidence and reduce anxiety during testing.
Policing in the Northern Territory is unique and focused on building relationships with the community. Our program includes units of study that cover the issues found in the Northern Territory to assist our students in learning and respecting Australia's Indigenous Cultures.
Our program provides students with an understanding of the demographics found in and around the four training centres that they may police when college training is complete:
- Darwin
- Katherine
- Tennant Creek
- Alice Springs
